From Guy Monteleone
A little anecdote
On Sept 9, 2012, I ran in my first half marathon in Harrisburg, PA. Brian Hopper was kind enough to join me in this endeavor. Brian and I shared a hotel room the night before the race. Deep in the middle of the night, Brian saw something on the wall. It was pitch black and he did not want to disturb me. Bleary-eyed, he used his cell phone to ascertain if this was a large insect on the wall. He swears this thing was moving...Neither one of us had alot of alcohol to drink pre-race, so I can't explain it.
It turned out not to be some dreaded insect but the sprinkler system for the hotel! Of course this did not adversely affect his time during the race, but was pretty funny. Especially since he did not want to wake anybody up.
Brian Hopper: good natured, considerate. It was a good race, a good time had by all, some nice memories...
Go Team Brian Hopper!!
Too funny. As a witness from across the room, sleeping in the daybed, not spooning, I heartedly agree...Brian squinting at that wall in the middle of the night is an image etched in my memory.
